Millet Pillow
What is an organic millet pillow good for?
Organic millet chaff is breathable, warming, soft and cuddly. As a result, it adapts particularly well to the parts of the body from the shoulder and neck area and neck tension and headaches can be prevented. A millet pillow is pleasantly soft due to the small millet husks and does not produce any rustling noises during movement like a spelt pillow.
How does an organic millet pillow work?
The organic millet chaff is a waste product that accumulates after the harvest during the hulling of the dried millet. It is cleaned and dusted and can thus be processed without any health risks. The organic millet husk is produced in Germany and is a sustainable and inexpensive alternative to down or synthetic fibres as a filling material for sleeping pillows. Organic millet husks do not need to be washed; airing and drying in the air is usually sufficient. The organic millet husk can be easily disposed of in the organic household waste or in the household compost in an environmentally friendly way. The organic millet husk can also be used in smaller handy pillow cases as a heat cushion for children by heating it in the microwave or in the oven at approx. 75°C.
Is an organic millet pillow healthy?
The millet chaff used is from controlled organic cultivation and free from dust and impurities. This prevents insects or similar from settling in. These organic millet pillows are also usually well tolerated by many allergy sufferers. However, if you have a house dust allergy, you should have an allergy test done beforehand.
