What is an organic spelt pillow good for?

Organic spelt husks are air-permeable, breathable and retain heat. They adapt particularly well to the body parts of the shoulder and neck area and neck tension and headaches can be prevented. Due to the large spelt shells, a spelt sleeping pillow is somewhat firmer than a millet pillow, but still pleasantly soft. How does an organic bed pillow with spelt filling work?

The spelt husks in organic quality are a waste product that accumulates after the harvest during the peeling of the dried spelt. They are cleaned and dedusted and can thus be processed without any health risks. The organic spelt husks are produced in Germany and are a sustainable and affordable alternative to down or synthetic fibres as a filling material for sleeping pillows. The organic spelt husks do not need to be washed; airing and drying in the air is usually sufficient. The organic spelt husks can be easily disposed of in the organic household waste or in the household compost in an environmentally friendly way. The organic spelt husks can also be used in smaller handy pillow cases as a heating pillow for children by heating them in the microwave or in the oven at approx. 75°C.

Is an organic pillow with spelt husks healthy?

The spelt husks used are from controlled organic cultivation and free of dust and impurities. This prevents insects or similar from settling in. These organic pillows are also usually well tolerated by many allergy sufferers. However, if you have a house dust allergy, you should first have an allergy test done.
