What distinguishes a sustainable Eco-Plus yoga mat?
The
environmentally friendly and sustainable production of this yoga mat
here in Germany is characterised by its up to 50% high recycling
content. The yoga mat has been tested and approved for harmful
substances according to the strict guidelines of the OEKO-TEX Standard
100 (Baby Standard) with regard to health safety and certified with the
MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®. This product contains no softeners and no
additives of animal origin.
What are the characteristics of a good recycled yoga mat?
The
Eco-Plus scores with its very dense and abrasion-resistant polyvinyl
chloride (PVC) foam with excellent cushioning properties. These
properties offer you a safe and firm footing even during very demanding
and difficult yoga asanas. An integrated and vinyl-coated polyester
fabric provides a dimensionally stable surface that also withstands
demanding yoga stretches. This high-quality yoga mat can be used on both
sides. It has a strong grip and allows you to choose from two different
surface textures. With its high dead weight, the yoga mat ensures a
secure grip on the floor.

The
Eco-Plus is a durable and sustainable yoga mat that gets better and
better with use and can give you many years of pleasure. As every yoga
mat has a slight film attached to it due to the production process, you
should carefully wipe the mat with warm water and salt before using it
for the first time and let it dry well. Our organic yoga mat cleaner is
also excellent for cleaning the mat. This also very quickly removes the
mat's own slight odour caused by the production process. The Eco-Plus
yoga mat is machine washable at 40°C. Please do not tumble dry. Please
do not put it in the dryer, but leave it to air dry.
Please note: Damp hands and feet can reduce the slip resistance of this yoga exercise mat.
