The advantages of a Lyocell pillow - sustainable, comfortable and durable
TENCEL™ Lyocell is a cellulose fiber extracted from the renewable wood of the forest. Its production is very efficient, unlike cotton, as less water and chemicals are needed to produce it. Fabrics made of Lyocell are extremely tear-resistant and therefore particularly durable. It is also excellent as a filler for sleeping pillows or quilts, as its fiber can absorb moisture and release it quickly. The spent filler is biodegradable can be disposed of via the compost. Due to its natural bulking properties, Lyocell is an excellent filler for bedding, sleeping pillows and pillows.
The outer cover is a cotton quilted cover and is made of 100% organic cotton eco-percale, Gots certified, is unbleached and washable at 30°C. It is quilted with 100% organic cotton fleece (approx. 300 g/m²). The filling is in a separate zippered inner cover, which is also made of eco-percale, 100% organic cotton, Gots certified. The outer cover gives slightly due to the inner puffy cotton fleece and the head is pleasantly softly bedded.

If you like to "hug" your pillow, but still appreciate a firmer lying feeling, then this pillow is just right for you. Just shake out the pillow regularly and air it out after sleeping. To maintain its bulkiness, you should occasionally pluck it apart again with your hands.
What does a lyocell pillow with outer cover do?
Lyocell is a long-haired fiber that, when carded, has good bulk and similar heat retention properties to virgin wool. However, since Lyocell fiber is made entirely of cellulose, it is extremely inhospitable to bugs and mites. As a result, it provides a comfortable and dry sleeping environment, which can also be beneficial for allergy sufferers.
Washing the Lyocell pillow with quilted outer cover
You can wash the quilted outer cover with cotton in the washing machine at 30°C. Please make sure that the washing drum is not too full, so that the outer cover can move freely on all sides. The pillow inner cover can also be washed at 30°C without the filling.
Drying the Lyocell pillow with quilted outer cover
Please spin dry and dry the quilted outer cover only in gentle cycle. Excessive mechanical action on the cover with its quilted fleece can lead to warping and clumping of the quilted fleece. It is better to pull the outer cover into shape after the wash cycle with the zipper closed and dry it lying down. In this way you protect the inner fleece and its shape is preserved.
